Campbell, Antrim
b. August 5, 1814, in New Jersey; d. August 11, 1868, in Springfield, Illinois. Campbell was the brother of David B. Campbell.
Campbell came to Springfield in 1838 and began the practice of law. On January 24,
1849, he was appointed Master in Chancery for the Sangamon County Circuit Court. Campbell resigned this position on October
28,
1861, when he received an appointment as Master in Chancery for the United States Circuit Court for the Southern District
of
Illinois, a position he held until his death.
